Why Is My Rabbit Passing Red Stool?
Red stool can be harmless—red-pigmented foods like red spinach or mustard greens—or a warning of bleeding from gut inflammation, gastritis, or an anal tear. Overfeeding concentrated feed ferments in the cecum, upsets the gut flora, and causes enteritis with bloody diarrhea. Keep the home dry and airy, prevent coccidiosis, use a smooth cage floor, feed vegetables in moderation, give chew toys, control portions (rabbits have no fullness cue), and balance grain, greens, hay, and water.
What Breeds of Mini Rabbits Are There
Mini rabbits are the smallest pet rabbits, with upright ears and an adult weight of only 1 to 2 kg and length near 30 cm. The group includes the Polish rabbit, the dwarf Hotot, and the dwarf rabbit (Dwarf), the last splitting into Dutch, French, and English dwarf varieties. Each has its own look and temperament, but all are beloved for their cute appearance and gentle nature. The dwarf Hotot is especially tiny and delicate as a baby.
Lop Rabbit
The Lop Rabbit — one of today's most popular pet rabbits — is named for its ears that hang down. Gentle, small, and people-friendly, it is short-lived (usually 5–7 years) and heat-sensitive, needs daily grooming of its dense coat and drooping ears, and must never be picked up by the ears.
