What Fish Can Live With Guppies?
Guppies are small and peaceful, so they suit other gentle small fish with similar habits — small tetras, livebearers like mollies and swordtails, and bottom cleaners like corydoras. Avoid aggressive types such as red phantom tetra, small cichlids, bettas, and blue gouramis. Keep oxygen high, water stable, and feed weak eaters separately.
Can Goldfish and Guppies Live Together?
Goldfish and guppies aren't a good mix. Goldfish are long-domesticated with weak immunity, so even alone they fall ill easily; with guppies, bacterial cross-infection can kill the goldfish. They also differ in temperature, water needs, and size — a large goldfish can accidentally harm a tiny guppy. Keep goldfish in a low-density single tank; guppies pair better with small tetras, platies, mollies, or moonfish.

The Overlord dwarf cichlid (Apistogramma sp. aff. nijsseni) is a striking, metallic silver-blue South American dwarf cichlid named for its fierce, territorial temperament. Relatively easy to keep and breed, it needs soft acidic water, a planted tank with caves, and — because of its aggression — is best kept without other dwarf cichlids.
