I’m a student; I adopted Xiaobao. When I got him one eye was green; the previous owner said he’d bumped it and a vet said it was fine. But he keeps having lots of eye discharge, eye drops and ointment didn’t help, it comes back. Last week a brown spot appeared on the eyeball and other parts are cloudy. I’m worried he’ll go blind but I can’t afford a vet and have no time (home only Fri PM to Sun PM). It’s worse now; what do I do?

Heavy discharge may be a blocked nasolacrimal duct; a vet can flush it. The new brown spot and cloudiness suggest worsening or wrong medication; see a vet promptly and avoid random drugs that harm vision. If you cannot yet, try pet anti-inflammatory eye drops.

Dog has red streaks in the eyes, is inactive, passes little soft stool, twitches while sleeping, occasionally has hiccup-like belly movements, and sleeps constantly

Based on your description, the soft stool and hiccups may be caused by gastroenteritis, and the red eyes may indicate internal heat or inflammation. You can give the dog pet probiotics to regulate the gut and withhold food for half a day, then adjust to a light, easily digestible diet. If symptoms do not improve, take the dog to a veterinary hospital to rule out underlying disease.
