Hello, from the photo the loose, blackened teeth may be a normal sign of aging. As dogs enter their senior years, teeth gradually loosen and oral pigment builds up, slowly turning black. The dog also has considerable tartar and fairly serious periodontal disease, so we recommend taking it to a vet for a dental cleaning and related treatment.

Age-related tooth loosening cannot be reversed, so we suggest feeding the dog softer food or a liquid diet.
