When you find a rabbit lying on its side and barely alive, check whether it still has a pulse and is breathing—the pulse can be felt at the neck and inner thigh, and breathing by watching the chest rise and fall. If the pulse is weak, perform CPR promptly: lay the rabbit on its side with its back toward you, compress the chest about 30% of its diameter, at a rate of 80-120 times per minute.

If the body temperature drops, keep it warm. Once it improves, give it some glucose water by mouth. After first aid, take the rabbit to a veterinary clinic for further treatment as soon as possible.
