My puppy yelps in pain when I touch its chest and sometimes trembles persistently

Chest pain and trembling may be pleurisy, front-rib fracture, or heart disease. Pleurisy signs include fever, short painful coughs, stretched neck, open-mouth breathing to ease pain, and pain or avoidance on chest touch, even shivering.

Blunt trauma to the chest can also fracture and cause pain and trembling. Because dogs cannot express themselves and causes vary, a detailed vet examination is needed for diagnosis and early treatment.
