My kitten got pregnant at first heat under one year, dewormed after, belly huge, fetal movement faded, no labor—what should I do?

If a pregnant cat is overdue with no labor, confirm whether there are labor signs; if past due with signs but no delivery it may be dystocia and needs emergency transport to assess mother and fetuses. Gestation is generally 60-63 days, varying by breed and care. Before labor the cat shows swollen nipples, restlessness and nest-seeking, and one hour before labor the water breaks with frequent straining.

If the due date is unclear and fetal movement stops, get a B-ultrasound to check the fetal heartbeat and estimate the date. Cats are easily stressed, so reduce stress during pregnancy and do not give internal dewormer, which would harm mother and fetuses.
