Is the Doberman a Good Dog to Own?

The Doberman has many strengths: a tall, muscular, handsome look, strong alertness and loyalty to its owner, good guarding ability, short low-shedding coat that is easy to groom, and high intelligence that makes training quick.

However, Dobermans also have drawbacks. They can be aggressive toward strangers and are banned in many cities. They need a lot of exercise and space, and their strong jaws and high energy can lead to destructive behavior at home.
