A red arowana can eat small fish. As a carnivorous fish, when small you can feed mealworms, grasshoppers, bloodworms, small shrimp and aquatic worms; once larger, it can eat bigger shrimp and fish, but remove hard parts first to protect the throat and gut.
Even larger arowanas can eat frogs, crickets and centipedes to improve their color.
