During delivery, oversized pups or a too-small pelvis can block birth; a very young dog’s immature bones may prevent delivery. Congenital heart or base disease, or uterine rupture and bleeding, can also threaten her life.

Early breeding isn’t advised to avoid needless risk. If she is pregnant, get regular prenatal checks; deliver under veterinary guidance to keep mother and pups safe.
