How to train an English Bulldog?

English Bulldogs are not highly intelligent, so training requires patience. Start around 3 to 4 months of age with simple tasks such as shaking hands, fetching, lying down, sitting and house training, and raise the difficulty once the dog learns.

Prepare treats as rewards: attract the dog’s attention, give the command, and when it performs well, give a small treat plus gentle praise and petting. Bulldogs have short attention spans, so keep sessions to about 15 minutes, ideally before meals for better results.
