How to tell if a puppy’s scabies is cured?

Scabies causes intense itching, hair loss, and skin inflammation with redness, ulcers, and crusts. It is cured when crusts and itching vanish, skin returns to pink, and microscopic scrapings show no mites or eggs.

Treatment: shave and clean the area, medicated bath weekly, mite spray twice daily; severe cases need injectable ivermectin (0.2 mg/kg) for about 2 months.
