How to tell a Brazilian turtle’s sex?

For same-age Brazilian turtles, sex by size: females are usually larger. Females have shorter front claws and shorter tails; males have longer tails.

Males have a concave plastron and females a flat one. The male’s vent is closer to the tail tip and lies outside the anal shield; the female’s is opposite.
