How to Teach a Mischievous Teddy to Sit?

Teddies are highly intelligent, so even a playful personality can be taught to sit easily. First, choose a quiet space with few distractions so the Teddy’s attention is not divided. Next, prepare some small treats it likes, hold them in front of its nose for it to smell, but pinch them tightly so it cannot easily grab them.

Then gently move the treat up, down, left, and right; to reach it the Teddy may stand or sit. The moment it sits, give it the treat. After a few repetitions it will catch on and sit on its own waiting to be fed. Finally, pair this with a ‘sit’ command and keep training until it sits obediently even without the treat lure.
