How to keep a canary?

Canaries are best kept in a fairly large cage because they are very active and need enough living space. The cage should be placed in a quiet environment with temperatures that are not too low to avoid colds, and mild soft sunlight each day is ideal. Canaries are omnivorous and not very picky, so you can feed them millet, seeds, apple, cabbage and similar foods.

Occasionally you can give a few mealworms for extra nutrition. Always provide plenty of clean drinking water and change it daily, and wash the water cup each day to prevent bacteria from growing.
