Tasteless or sweet dewormers can be broken up and hidden in food or freeze-dried treats. If the cat is smart and spits the pill out, use a pill shooter, usually included with the medicine or bought separately.

After restraining the cat, open its mouth and push the pill deep into the throat, then hold the mouth closed until it swallows.
