Long-haired dogs usually need no blanket; in winter just give a thick pad to avoid belly chill. Short-haired dogs like French Bulldog, Labrador and Pug can have a small blanket; Teddy has only one coat layer with poor warmth, so also needs covering.
Some dogs dislike blankets; try a hot-water bottle in the bed for warmth instead.
