After bringing a puppy home, give it at least a week to adjust; during this time do not bathe, deworm or vaccinate it.

After a week with no problems, you may deworm it, but generally wait until it is at least 1 month old (at least 6 weeks). Do not deworm too early to avoid harming its body.

Puppies under 1 month have very fragile guts, and dewormers irritate them, so early deworming easily causes digestive problems.
