It is best to deworm a puppy after 2 months of age, because deworming too early easily causes adverse reactions–young puppies have immature gut function and skin barriers, and dewormers can trigger gastrointestinal or skin sensitivity issues.

To reduce the chance of side effects, wait until 2 months after birth. But if a Teddy puppy is infected with parasites around 1 month, deworming can still be done.
