Rabbits can drink from a ball-valve bottle or a push-pin (nipple) bottle. Ball-valve bottles are cheaper but prone to jamming; if not noticed in time, the rabbit may suffer serious health problems from dehydration. Push-pin bottles cost a little more but jam less easily, and their water flows one way without backflow, making them more hygienic.
Some owners use a water bowl when they haven’t bought a bottle yet, but this easily dirties the rabbit’s chin and causes skin problems, and the bowl collects dust and breeds bacteria.
