How should I give cat grass to my cat?

Once cat grass grows, cats often eat it on their own, because when their stomach is upset or full of hairballs they nibble it to stimulate acid and vomit the contents. If the cat will not eat it voluntarily, chop the grass into small pieces and mix it into the food, preferably using only the tender upper leaves for better taste. If the cat still dislikes it, that variety may not appeal; switch to wheatgrass or oatgrass, or simply use a hairball paste, which works the same way.
