The Labrador’s protective instinct is not very strong. Though loyal and protective when the owner is in danger, its gentle nature and low aggression mean it may not attack a bad person.
Only natural disasters or other dangers truly trigger its protective side. If you want a more protective or home-guarding dog, consider a mastiff or rural dog with proper training.
