How often should a plecostomus (algae eater) be fed?

Feed a plecostomus by tank conditions; with plants, algae, and other fish, 2-3 times weekly, as it eats algae and leftovers. In a clean tank, feed daily or every other day. As a cleaner fish kept with others to consume leftovers and residue, do not overfeed it or it will stop cleaning.
