How often does a Greyhound go into heat?

Normally a female dog goes into heat twice a year after sexual maturity, mainly in spring and autumn, about every six months, and female Greyhounds are no exception. Male dogs have no fixed heat schedule and can be in heat all year round. During heat a male may urinate everywhere as a normal way to attract females, and may also become anxious, restless and eager to go outside.
