How often does a flowerhorn lay eggs?

A healthy, fine female flowerhorn lays about twice a month on average. Larger ones lay 1000 to 3000 eggs per clutch, but only about 5 percent are high quality, and top varieties are scarce. Females can lay at about 5 months, trembling when in heat. During breeding raise the water above 30 C to help laying.
