An adult Bichon only needs dog food twice a day; if its gut is weak and digestion slow, feed three times a day. Puppy Bichons need feeding frequency by age: a ~2-month-old should get at least 4โ€“5 meals to avoid indigestion.

After 3 months, 3โ€“4 meals a day; if the dog gradually leaves a meal uneaten, drop one feeding. Besides kibble, you can give a little egg yolk, boiled chicken breast, or beef for extra nutrition, but do not feed these too often or the dog may become picky.
