Expert Answer

A rainforest scorpion takes about 3 years to become adult. Its lifespan is about 8 years with a 5-6 year breeding span. Born at 1 cm, many parts unformed, it molts to 2nd instar at 5 days, growing 0.5 cm. After a week it leaves the mother; after 5 molts it becomes adult, but it can only breed from the 4th autumn.
