Canine babesiosis has an incubation period of 7 to 15 days with no obvious symptoms. After onset, the dog may show unsteady, trembling gait, high fever, anorexia, and depression, and later more severe issues such as anemia.

Without timely treatment, a dog with babesiosis can die within a few days.

Normally, with prompt and appropriate treatment, the affected dog can fully recover in about one month.
