How Long Does It Take to Cure a Dog’s Hookworm?

Expert Answer

Hookworm is treated with oral dewormers that expel the worms, a process of about half a month.

Several treatments are needed because after adult worms pass, leftover eggs hatch into infective larvae and reinfect.

Generally give the dewormer a few times to fully clear the parasites.
