How long does it take a turtle’s shell rot to heal?

Shell rot generally needs about a month to heal, depending on severity. Immediately dry-dock the turtle and treat the wound: cut away rotten scute, clean and disinfect, then apply erythromycin ointment. Keep it dry for two weeks, soaking 2-3 times daily to prevent dehydration; after each soak, rinse with hydrogen peroxide, reapply the ointment, and repeat daily until healed.
