If the dog has weak resistance and catches a cold with runny-nose symptoms, the owner must keep it warm and give dog-specific cold medicine, in which case recovery may take about 3-4 days.

Elderly dogs have weaker constitutions; if an old dog catches a cold, recovery may take 7-15 days.
