How long does a pigeon’s molt last?

An adult pigeon molts for about 2 to 3 months. Fledglings start their first molt at about 2 months, lasting around 2 months and ending at 4 months; afterwards they molt yearly from July to September or October. Timing can be delayed by various factors.

During molt the bird is fragile and prone to illness, so keep the loft or cage clean, disinfect regularly and add nutrition.
