How Long After Deworming Can a Puppy Be Vaccinated?

Expert Answer

A puppy can be vaccinated only a week after deworming. If it passes worms and the load is high, a second deworming a week later means at least two weeks before the vaccine.

Internal parasites reduce vaccine efficacy and cause failure, so deworm first, then observe the puppy for a while to ensure no parasites remain before vaccinating.
