A newborn puppy cannot be bathed and generally must wait until about 3 months after birth. Puppies can only be bathed after full vaccination; unvaccinated ones have very weak resistance and fragile bodies, and bathing during this time easily causes discomfort and a high risk of infectious disease. Puppies generally start vaccines at about 45 days and finish around 3 months of age; only after vaccination and antibody formation can they be bathed.
