How is the British Shorthair cat?

The British Shorthair’s strengths are strong adaptability and a gentle temperament; it settles into new homes quickly with little stress and gets along well with owners and family, though it is not very clingy and needs little attention. Its coat is very soft and pleasant, and despite being short-haired it resists cold well and rarely catches chills. The downside is that it dislikes exercise and is very food-motivated, so it gains weight easily, and its curiosity makes it somewhat destructive around the house.
