They are fairly smart, highly trainable, and naturally have excellent learning and working ability, able to quickly learn new commands and complete tasks such as hunting and herding. In addition, the Pointer is very loyal to its owner, with a calm and gentle personality and strong adaptability, getting along harmoniously with family members and other pets.

However, the Pointer has a lively personality and very abundant energy, so it needs plenty of exercise and play to help it burn off excess energy.
