How intelligent is a Boxer dog?

The Boxer ranks 48th in overall dog intelligence, a middle level. Although not as smart as Border Collies or German Shepherds, it is gentle, very loyal, and highly obedient, making training easy. It is often trained as a guide, guard, or police dog.
