How do you treat cat bad breath?

Expert Answer

Cat bad breath is usually from oral or digestive issues; brush the cat’s teeth regularly to keep the mouth clean. Also avoid long-term wet food, which is soft and sticks to teeth, forming tartar and strong odor.

If the cat must eat wet food due to pickiness or health, brush daily and offer dental sticks, mouthwash, or oral gel. Finally, poor digestion also causes bad breath, so feed on schedule and add probiotics.
