If a snapping turtle just arrived and will not eat from unfamiliarity, do not worry; with a proper setup it adapts in 3 to 5 days and starts eating. Lay sand, add a basking rock above water and some plants for shade, keep water about 22 C, and it will eat once adjusted.

Turtles are very fasting-tolerant, so a few days is fine, but if a small one still refuses after 5 days, dangle a meat bit on a thread to attract it.
