If the dog did not die from infectious disease, burial is possible, but not on public land, and the site should be away from water with a pit at least 1 meter deep to avoid washing out in rain.

If no suitable burial spot, choose cremation; many places offer pet cremation and you can keep the ashes. If possible, place the ashes in a pet cemetery to visit often.
