Before adding a stingray to the tank, first equalize the temperature. The original tank usually has a heater, but the transport bag cannot keep warm, so the water cools. To avoid shocking the fish, slowly lower the bag from above so its bottom touches the tank water.

After the fish adapts for half an hour to an hour, scoop out 1/10 of the bag water into the tank, then add an equal amount of tank water into the bag. Repeat about 5 times to complete acclimation, then release the fish into the tank.
