You can induce vomiting in a dog with soapy water or 3% hydrogen peroxide. Because peroxide is strongly oxidizing and can damage the gut lining, control the dose carefully, and after vomiting rinse the dog’s stomach with water to reduce peroxide residue.
Soapy water works better and is easier to make, but if the dog swallowed a toxic substance, it is generally not advised to do it at home. Go to a vet for 1% copper sulfate solution or apomorphine to induce vomiting, combined with other medication to limit damage to the dog’s organs.
