When you first bring a Beagle home, avoid disturbing it often; let it rest quietly. Once its energy is good, slowly introduce it to the new environment and let it meet the furniture and plants. For the first few days, place its bed by your bed with some snacks and toys nearby so it adapts to the new sleeping spot.

If the dog can’t sleep from unfamiliarity, comfort it patiently and, once it settles, reward it with a treat. Usually a Beagle puppy adapts within about a week of arriving.
