How can I tell if my cat is sick?

First, watch the cat’s spirit: sleepiness, reduced activity, anorexia, and slow responses suggest illness. Next, check stools; soft stool, diarrhea, blood, or chronic constipation indicate gut problems.

Also check the face: heavy eye discharge, severe tear stains, runny nose, bad breath, excessive ear discharge, hot nose, or ear odor are warning signs. Finally, skin issues like shedding, itching, dandruff, or redness may indicate skin disease.
