Dogs hump legs from excitement, seeking attention and showing friendliness. When it happens, ignore it and keep doing your own thing; after a while it learns the gesture gets no response and stops.

You can also scold it or use basic training—’sit’, ‘stay’—to show this isn’t allowed.

Some dogs hump during heat; in that case, consider neutering.
