How can a rabbit become pregnant?

Rabbits usually mature sexually at 5 to 8 months, some breeds as early as 3 to 4 months, but do not breed at first heat to avoid miscarriage or stillbirth; breed only after adulthood. In spring and autumn during heat, put the male and female in the same cage; mating is quick, in seconds, but keep them together at least 3 to 4 days to raise the breeding rate.
