Dogs do get hiccups. Like humans, dog hiccups come from excess gas during digestion and gut movement. Occasional hiccups after meals or just after waking are normal.

But if hiccups are frequent, or the breath is strongly sour and the dog passes gas often, it likely has indigestion or gut flora imbalance that needs veterinary care.
