Can dogs drink milk?

Dogs should not drink milk, because milk contains lactose and dogs lack lactase to break it down, so they often get diarrhea after drinking it; the owner should best avoid giving dogs milk.

But you can feed dog-specific pet milk powder, which is made for a puppy’s condition and nutritional needs — it meets their needs and is easy to digest. Or you can give the dog goat milk; goat-milk powder has nutrition similar to cow’s milk and can be digested and absorbed by dogs.
