Too much at once can cause sodium poisoning—nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, raised temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, seizures.
2. Many additives. Sausage has harmful preservatives like potassium sorbate, sodium nitrate, sodium nitrite; a cat’s weak, sensitive gut can react unpredictably, so avoid it.
3. High fat. Starch and fat cause obesity, raising diabetes, high lipids, heart disease, hypertension, arthritis—hurting senior quality and lifespan.
