At what age do kittens wean?

Generally, kittens wean between 40 and 60 days of age, with the exact time depending on the mother cat’s milk. If her milk is plentiful, weaning can be a bit later, but it must happen before 60 days at the latest. If the mother still has plenty of milk then, use medicine to dry it up and force weaning. Because after one month kittens grow quickly and need more nutrition, the mother’s milk alone is not enough. For just-weaned kittens, feed weaning-stage kitten kibble.
